If a member intends to leave Singapore for a continuous period of more than six (6) months but not exceeding thirty-six (36) months, the member may apply in writing to the Honorary Secretary to be placed as an Absent Member.

Each application for Absent Status has to be accompanied by the following:

• Application form for Absent Status (Click here for the form)
• A copy of documentary proof (e.g. Company letter, visa documents, exit permit, school acceptance letter, etc.) stating the intended period of absence
• Payment for twenty percent of the prevailing subscription fee
• Payment for outstanding amount due to the Society, if any
