Annex A:

NUSS Lifelong Membership Information (Ordinary / Associate)
  • 1. Eligibility
    • a. Ordinary Membership is open to all persons who are on the Register of Graduates or have successfully completed any postgraduate degree from the National University of Singapore.
    • b. Associate Membership is open to graduates of other recognised universities.
    • c. Spouses may apply for Spouse Membership (Note: A Spouse Member is not entitled to any of the rights and privileges of members except those approved by the Committee).
    • d. Admission to NUSS is at the sole discretion of the Management Committee.
  • 2. Entrance Fee
    • a. The entrance fee for Ordinary/Associate Membership is $10,000*. Membership may be purchased via the Secondary Transfer Market with fees averaging $5,000. Contact us for more details.
    • b. Applicants who join within 36 months from the date of their first degree or postgraduate degrees (provided such postgraduate degrees commence within twelve (12) months after obtaining the first and subsequent full-time degree) shall pay a concessionary entrance fee of $2,000*.
    • c. Applicants who join within 72 months but more than 36 months from the date of their first degree or postgraduate degrees (provided such postgraduate degrees commence within twelve (12) months after obtaining the first and subsequent full-time degree) shall pay a concessionary entrance fee of $2,500*.
    • d. Applicants for (b) & (c) may apply to pay the entrance fees in full or by the instalment plans set out below:


    • Choice of Payment Schemes on Entrance Fee at $2,000*:
    • Over 20 months interest free instalments
    • Over 36 months interest free instalments
      (First instalment is $75)
      (Subsequent instalment is $55)

  • 3. Secondary Market Transfer Payment
    • i) Refundable credit deposit of $100 via Nets/Cash/Cheque payable to NUSS
    • ii) Membership fee
  • 4. Subscription Fee
    The monthly subscription fee is $80* (this will be revised to $100 from 1 September 2024), and $10* monthly for Spouse Members. The monthly subscription fee billing commences once the application is approved by the Management Committee.
  • 5. Transfer Members
    Joining NUSS at the concessionary entrance fee shall not be permitted to transfer their membership within 36 months from date of joining.
  • 6. Documents to accompany Application Form
    To expedite processing, please complete the Membership Application Form overleaf and submit with the following attachments:
    • a. A copy of university degree
      • b. (i) Full Payment (NETS / Credit Card / Cheque payable to "NUSS" in full):
      • (ii) By Instalment
    • c. Two recent passport-size colour photos
    • d. If applying for Spouse Membership, two (2) recent passport-size colour photos will be required
  • 7. Free-Look Period (Not Applicable for Secondary Market Transfers)
    Applicant has 5 working days to review this application. If Applicant decides to cancel the application, the Applicant will need to write / email / fax to NUSS within 5 working days of the application date to cancel the application. NUSS will refund the payment made in full within 60 days after the cancellation of the membership application.
  • 8. Notes for New Members
    • i) The GST on the entrance fee is payable in full upon application and is non-refundable.
    • ii) Please allow 21 working days for processing.
    • iii) NUSS reserves the right to withdraw or amend any promotions without prior notice.
Incomplete documents will not be processed.
