- Enjoy Playing the Guitar Using Fingerstyle (Level 2)
Course Outline
In Level 1, learners were required to perform simple melodic lines (Section A) with proficiency before progressing to the addition of a single bass note accompaniment (Section B).
In this Level 2, participants will be introduced to more advanced melodic lines drawn from well-known evergreen repertoire. As in the previous level, mastery of these melodies is expected prior to the integration of Section B, where learners will incorporate richer bass accompaniment and contrapuntal bass lines.
The course will also introduce a wider range of chords. These chordal elements are intended primarily for instructors or advanced learners who wish to extend their technical and musical scope. Participants who wish to develop or learn further into chords accompaniment are encouraged also to consider enrolling into the programme – “The Joy of Playing the Guitar” – a completely different approach.
