Non-Citizens and Non-Permanent Residents

1. Eligibility

1. This Term Membership is only available to Singapore citizens and permanent residents above 62 years of age.


2. Applicants must be graduates of recognised local or foreign universities.


3. This Term membership is applicable for a period of ten (10) years from the date of admission.


4. Spouses of existing members and new membership applicants may apply for Spouse Membership. (Note: A spouse member is not entitled to any of the rights and privileges except those approved by the Committee.)


5. Admission to NUSS is at the sole discretion of the Management Committee.


6. Membership is not transferable.

1. This Term Membership is only available to persons who are non-Singapore citizens and non-permanent residents, and based in Singapore and hold a valid employment pass


2. Applicants must be graduates of recognised local or foreign universities.


3. This Term Membership is available for renewal on a yearly basis upon payment of an annual fee as may be determined by the Management Committee from time to time. The total maximum period of this Term Membership shall be three years.


4. Spouses of existing members and new membership applicants may apply for Spouse Membership. (Note: A spouse member is not entitled to any of the rights and privileges except those approved by the Committee.)


5. Admission to NUSS and renewal of membership is at the sole discretion of the Management Committee.


6. Membership is not transferable.

2. Entrance fee

1. The current entrance fee for this Term Membership is $1,090 w/GST for a period of 10 years. Payment shall be made in full at the point of application.


2. There will be no refund of the entrance fee in the event of early termination of membership.

3. Monthly Subscription Fee

1. The current subscription fee is $109 w/GST per month for members and $10.90 w/GST per month for spouse members. The monthly subscription fee commences once the application is approved.

4. Credit Deposit

1. Credit deposit of $100 is payable at the time of application and refundable upon termination of membership.

5. Documents to accompany Application Form

To expedite processing, please complete this application form in full with the following attachments:

1. Copy of university degree (if you have more than one, please attach all certificates);


2. One (1) recent passport-sized color photograph;


3. Our team will contact you to arrange for the sighting of your NRIC/Passport;


4. If applying for Spouse Membership, one (1) recent passport-sized color photograph.

For verification purpose and proof of relationship, we will also arrange for the sighting of your spouse’s NRIC/Passport & Marriage Certificate

5. Payment (NETS/Credit Card/Cheque) of $1,090 w/GST (entrance fee for a period of 10 years) and $100 (credit deposit) is payable to “NUSS” in full.

6. Conversion of Term Membership to Ordinary/Associate Membership

Not applicable for conversion to Ordinary/Associate Membership.

On expiry of this Term Membership at the end of the third year or at any time during the membership period, a Member may apply for conversion of his/her membership to a lifelong Ordinary/Associate Membership by paying:

1. The difference between the total amount paid in Term Membership fees and the prevailing entrance fee for Ordinary or Associate Membership at the time of conversion; and


2. A conversion fee of 10% of the prevailing entrance fee at the time of conversion.
