| Message From The Candidate: | Message From The Candidate:Dear Fellow Members, NUSS has been part of my life for a long time — as a young graduate, as CEO from 2009 to 2014, and over the past two years as your President. Few things I do have meant more. 2024 was a year of celebration. Our 70th Anniversary brought us together for NUSS Day with DPM Heng Swee Keat, a record $777,000 raised for the Bursary at the Charity Golf, and memorable conversations with former President Halimah Yacob. 2025 tested us — rising costs and manpower pressures demanded careful prioritisation. With a committed Management Committee and Secretariat, we came through with a net surplus along with refreshed spaces at Kent Ridge and Suntec City that members are genuinely using. I will be honest about what is still unfinished: deepening ties with NUS and the leadership of Singapore, continued review of space utilisation across our Guildhouses, upgrading of ageing facilities and the careful pricing recalibration that responsible stewardship now requires. These are not glamorous tasks, but I believe they are the right ones. I am standing for re-election to continue that quiet, disciplined work — the kind that keeps NUSS strong and sustainable for future generations of graduates. I would be grateful for your vote. |
