From your favorite top to those jeans that need a little tweak, we’ll teach you all the essential alteration techniques to make your wardrobe feel brand new.
This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn the art of garment alteration! No experience required—just bring your clothes, and we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Course Objectives

Understand the Basics of Garment Alteration (No Zipper Closures):
Learn how to work with woven and knitted fabrics to improve the fit and comfort of your garments. -
Assess and Modify Fit:
Discover how to evaluate your clothes and make adjustments that enhance your silhouette and overall comfort. -
Master Key Alteration Techniques:
Learn practical alteration skills like shortening hems, taking in sides, adjusting sleeve lengths, and more—specifically for woven fabrics. -
Work on Your Own Garments:
Bring up to 2 of your own garments to the workshop and apply your new skills with expert guidance. You’ll walk out with perfectly fitted clothes! -
Solve Fit Challenges Like a Pro:
Learn how to tackle common garment fitting issues and make practical alterations that help you achieve a custom fit.

Trainer Profile
Mr Wang is an expert dressmaker with a wealth of experience in both creating bespoke garments and teaching the art of dressmaking. Trained at prestigious fashion institutions both locally and internationally, his skill set spans a variety of styles, and his talent has been recognized with numerous accolades. With his guidance, you’ll master the techniques to craft beautiful, professional garments and gain the skills to make your fashion dreams a reality.
Learning Outcome
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the confidence and hands-on experience to transform your wardrobe! You’ll be able to tweak and adjust garments to fit you perfectly, creating pieces that feel like they were tailor-made just for you.
Note:
We will focus on beginner-friendly alterations, so zipper-based fixes (like concealed zippers on skirts/dresses or fly zippers on jeans) are not covered in this workshop.
